Easter Volunteers Needed

LifeConnection Church, a new church start in Independence, is planning the largest Easter Egg Hunt in the city with over 100,000 eggs. Last year they had 3500 people attend this event.

They need 150 volunteers for Saturday, April 3 for 3-5 hours. They are also looking for partner individuals or churches to help with the expenses. Contact Jason Allen at jason@lifeconnectionkc.org if you want more information.

Workers needed for Wednesday nights

Armour Heights Baptist Church has begun a Wednesday night ministry to children and teens in their neighborhood and it has grown faster than they are able to handle. They have over 60 attending now and are in real need of workers who could come and help with the ministry each week. Contact Pastor David Howie at armourheights@sbcglobal.net if you can help.

It is run by Forest Avenue Baptist Church and can often use donations of food, clothing, volunteer labor and financial assistance. Crossroads is a new church plant in the heart of downtown KC. They are remodeling an old building and can use volunteers to reframe 2 window openings and a door opening, install replacement windows (13 of them),
repair drywall, inspect and open fireplaces (expert required), expose brick and remove drop ceiling (kitchen), iInstall tile backsplash (kitchen), lay floor tile (kitchen), install countertop (kitchen), run gas line from basement for a 1st floor kitchen stove, replace wall tile around tub (bathroom), lay floor tile (bathroom), install tile backsplash (bathroom), replace sink and counter (bathroom), run conduit for interior electric where walls and ceilings have been exposed, paint small outside decks and reinforce large rear decks.
