Matthew 28:19-20 (CSB) In my experience, pastors want to lead their churches in fulfilling the Great Commission. At the same time, many pastors struggle to know what practical steps their churches need to take in fulfilling the Great Commission. Join us on January 16, 2024, for a workshop on how to lead your church more effectively on mission. An IMB missionary named David will lead this workshop. David works with South Asian churches to help them reach Muslims in their communities. Many of the same principles are transferable to an American context. Here is what the workshop will focus on. We will discover the Missionary Task as defined by the International Mission Board in the Foundations document. Understanding the Missionary Task empowers church leaders to focus on the most critical tasks in fulfilling the Great Commission. You can see Foundations online here: https://issuu.com/trainingdev/docs/imb_foundations Then, we will work through practical plans for local churches to develop strategies for Entry, Evangelism, and Disciple-Making, the first three parts of the Missionary Task. The purpose will be to walk away with a written plan to implement in your local church in these three areas. We hope and pray that this workshop will empower you as a church leader to be used even more effectively in leading your church on mission. David has served with the International Mission Board for 12 years among the Muslims of South Asia. Previously, he served as the People Teams Coordinator with the Blue River-Kansas City Baptist Association. David has completed his M.Div. and D.Min. in missiology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. David serves as a Missionary in Residence at MBTS during his stateside assignment. |
