Pastors Praying for Pastors

The first cycle of Pastors Praying for Pastors is set to begin the first week of May and end the last week of July, 2010, which covers thirteen weeks. After that, the VISION 2020 Equipping Leaders Team will evaluate the ministry and decide if we will continue the effort.

Here’s how to participate if you're a BR-KC pastor:(non-pastors click here)

  1. Download the Pastor Directory from the image in the left-hand column of this page.
  2. Open the directory to your church.
  3. Count the first thirteen churches that are listed after your church.
  4. In the first week of May call the pastor of the first church listed below your church. The second week of May call the pastor of the second church listed below your church, and so on.
  5. After the last week of July stop calling.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Introduce yourself. Ask how you can pray for him that day.
  2. Pray together.
  3. Visit another minute or two, then say goodbye and hang up.

Questions & Answers

When should I call?
Call during the week between 9 a.m. & 5 p.m.

What number should I call?
Try both work and home. Lots of us guys work from home.

Are we expected to keep calling until we get a hold of one another?
No. It’s enough to leave a message letting the brother know you called and will pray for him that day. If you’re unable leave a message, try again later, if no answer then stop trying and go ahead pray for him.

What do we do at the end of the thirteenth week?
Hold onto the directory. In August the Equipping Leaders team will evaluate the ministry. If we pastors find the effort to be a blessing then the Equipping Leaders Team will begin another cycle of prayer.

Here's how to participate if you're NOT a BR-KC Pastor.

  1. Download the Pastor Directory from the link on this page.
  2. Begin with your church.
  3. Pray for your pastor, and each day following, pray for the next church and pastor in the directory. Please do not call each pastor.
  4. When you come to the end of the directory, start at the beginning.
  5. When you've completed the cycle of pastors and churches, continue again starting with your church.
