Website Antioch Southern Baptist Church

The Senior Pastor is responsible for working with the elders and pastoral ministry team to lead Antioch Southern Baptist Church in its mission and vision to impact our local community for Christ. The position is full-time, and salary is commensurate to responsibilities, with consideration given to applicant’s experience, education, and previous effectiveness.

Antioch Southern Baptist Church

Antioch is a Christ-centered congregation with a strong love for the Lord and for each other.  The church is Biblically grounded, elder-led, has a strong sense of unity, and a family atmosphere.  Regular services include two worship services and Sunday School on Sunday mornings, as well as various small groups which meet throughout the week (majority on Wednesday evenings at the same time as the Children’s and Youth programs).

Antioch has an average weekly worship attendance of 180 – 200.  It has its own building on 5 acres of land inside the city limits of Harrisonville, MO, a community of 10,000 people approximately 30 miles south of Kansas City on I49.  It is within driving distance of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Calvary University and Seminary.

After 27 years our senior pastor is retiring and we are certain God will lead both the church, as well as the one He has chosen to be our next pastor, in this process.  Please do note, at the request of the elders, and after a brief hiatus, our current pastor will be assuming a position of ministry focused on senior adults and missions. This new position will be under the full authority of the new pastor and elders.
