Grain Valley First Baptist welcomes Richard Bitterman as Director of Student Ministries. For the last several years, Bitterman has been serving as the church’s part-time youth minister and working for If Not For Grace Ministries. He has lived in the Grain Valley area for almost 30 years and has a passion to see students grow in their relationship with Christ, with each other, and make a positive impact for Christ in their ever-changing world.
As Director of Student Ministries, Bitterman will oversee all aspects of student ministries—with a primary emphasis upon youth ministry. In addition, he will work closely with the church’s educational and discipleship ministries.
Bitterman will have completed a B.A. Degree in Biblical Studies from Midwestern College in December and will continue a Master’s Degree at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Joy, have two children, and one grandchild.
