BRKC held its 34th Annual Meeting on October 4th at Noland Road Baptist Church with 400 in attendance. The international Missions Fair kicked the meeting into high gear. Messengers were able to learn more about various missions and ministries such as our partnerships with Vancouver, the Horn of Africa, MBCH, Restoration House and more. A number of our ethnic churches provided food from their native countries, some wearing their traditional dress.
The Worship Celebration/Business Session was opened by the youth choir from the Karen Burmese Church. Noland Road Baptist Church’s praise team along with the Burundian Church choir, combined gospel choir and combined Hispanic praise team provided times of praise and worship.
Dr. Hammer spoke, encouraging the messengers with the words “We Will Fight!” We also had interviews regarding People Teams and the International Welcome Center; Gary Jones regarding inner-city school partnerships; Scott Flippin on Norfleet’s Unengaged Unreached People Group ministry; and September Trible and Donna Ploeger for Restoration House.
