This month we are excited to have Helen Taylor, Director of Intervention for Exodus Cry as our guest speaker. Helen’s talk will be on Offering Exit & Doors of Hope!
Helen Taylor works for Exodus Cry – an international anti-trafficking abolitionist organization located in Kansas City. She serves as the Director of Intervention and Outreach and also as the Executive Assistant for CEO Benjamin Nolot. She leads an intervention team that reach out to individuals in the sex industry in Kansas City: on the streets, in strip clubs, in jails and online. A U.K. native, Helen has done anti-trafficking work and mobilization/training in Cambodia, Brazil, Mexico, the U.K. and the U.S. Since 2013 she has helped Exodus Cry pioneer an online outreach model and co-authored an intervention training manual – which has been utilized both domestically and internationally – on reaching those caught in commercial sexual exploitation. In 2014 she helped lead Exodus Cry’s Liberdade initiative in Brazil, through which 24/7 houses of prayer were established and streetoutreach took place in the 12 World Cup host cities. Liberdade trained and mobilized 1500 Brazilian abolitionists from 500 local churches in prayer and outreach to the sexually exploited. Helen is passionate about seeing the Isaiah 61 gospel brought to all those caught in the sex industry and to see the abolition of commercial sexual exploitation across the earth.
