Dear Partners in Missions,
I want to update you on our 2015 end-of-year finances, Pastor/Staff/Spouse Appreciation Banquet, Horn of Africa Fundraiser, and ask for your prayers for the retreat we will lead and provide for church planter’s families in Vancouver, Canada.
2015 FINANCES – You can see our church giving report and total funds given in the newsletter. I want to thank you for your faithful and generous giving to missions through the Association. You can see the details of all the evangelism, missions, service, community transformation, church resources, church planting, leadership training and more on our website. You gave over $450,000, about 97% of our budget, and we came out virtually even on expenses to receipts while initiating some new ministry previously not budgeted for. God is good and you all are so supportive! Praise the Lord.
APPRECIATION BANQUET – Each year we want to tangibly demonstrate “we appreciate you” to our pastors, staff ministers and their spouses! One way we do that is the Appreciation Banquet with fun entertainment, good food and fellowship. This year our host again will be FBC Raytown and Pastor Brandon Park on Friday February 19 at 7 p.m. We’ll have free tickets, free resources, and free childcare too! Just register with our office to reserve your childcare needs and free seats at the table. Many thanks to our co-sponsor for the event, GuideOne Insurance and B.J. and Becky Moyer, and our hosts at FBC Raytown!
VANCOUVER, CANADA RETREAT – Please pray for BR-KC Staff and volunteers who will lead a retreat for church planters and their families February 4-7, 2016. This is an annual time of encouragement and resourcing for our mission partners in the WestCoast Baptist Association. We provide worship leadership, childcare, older children and youth encouragement, and leadership development each year.
HORN OF AFRICA FUNDRAISER – On Saturday night, February 20, also at the FBC Raytown Atrium, we will have our Horn of Africa partnership mission fundraiser. We’ll have more fun entertainment, a silent auction and dinner of course. Give however much you want to donate for the meal, bid up some great auction items, and be inspired by our BRKC Mission Team to Ethiopia as they share testimonies, pictures, video, and opportunities!
