Dear Pastor,

On Behalf of NAMB and 2016 President of the SBC Pastor’s Conference, John Meador, we would like to invite you to join us at one of our National Evangelism Conferences that will provide training for Crossover 2016.

Pastor Meador is challenging Pastors to ask themselves what their plan is to equip church members with confidence to share the Gospel. It’s time to return to the roots and simplicity of the Gospel by equipping the saints for the work of ministry, rather than trying to do all of the work of ministry ourselves.  (Eph. 4:11)

We realize that many churches do not have a plan to equip their members to bring the Gospel to their family, friends, and community. As Pastor Meador began to pray the prayer seen in Luke 10:2, asking God to raise up laborers to go out into the harvest, the Lord answered that prayer by providing a plan which we call, “Can We Talk?”. It is a 6-week pastor-led training emphasis to equip your church members to share the Gospel conversationally. This plan has begun to spread far beyond the walls of First Baptist Euless and into many other churches across the state of Texas and the United States. NAMB is sponsoring us to lead evangelism training for Crossover St. Louis (Pre-SBC Annual Convention 2016).

Here’s what one pastor says about “Can We Talk?”

Through the power of Christ, “Can We Talk” has changed Tabernacle’s view on Evangelism and the culture of prayer.  Number one, we are actually sharing the Gospel and praying for the lost.  Imagine that!! We are not a Gospel centered church just because we teach the Gospel from the Scriptures, but also because we are sharing the Gospel in and with our community. We are finally making an impact in Ennis by following up with all the contacts we have through Kids Beach Club, Upward Basketball, VBS and many other outreach events “Can we Talk?” has taken Evangelism/Great Commission obedience, from a night of the week and into the everyday life of our participants.  For me, this is the most exciting thing.  I am not training my people to share the Gospel on Wednesday night, I am equipping my people to equip people to equip people to share the Gospel in everyday life.  Wednesday night is simply a time of teaching, equipping and practicing.  Dozens have taken Can We Talk from Wednesday night into their workplace, family and friendships.  WOW!

“The Best Evangelism strategy I have ever participated in!”    Todd Gray, Tabernacle Baptist Church, Ennis, Texas
