On April 3rd the Blue River – Kansas City Baptist Association held our Spring Semi-Annual Meeting. The First Baptist Church of Peculiar welcomed us Sunday evening and were so accommodating to all our needs. Attendees enjoyed a time of fellowship and a potluck before the meeting began. Not only was this event a time for our Semi-Annual Meeting to be held, but a time for members of the Association to say good-bye to Jennifer Hutton. Jennifer has faithfully served the churches of BR-KC for 12 years and will now be transitioning to working for Restoration House full-time.
Jennifer was presented with cake, flowers, and a slideshow in recognition of her time at the Association. Rodney Hammer and Gregg Boll both gave touching speeches to their long-time co-worker and friend. Jennifer has been a wonderful asset to the Association and all the churches she has served. She is gracious and patient, sacrificial and a “do-er”. She will be truly missed by the Association.
Amy Cox has been hired to replace Jennifer as Administrative Assistant. Amy began working for the Association at the end of March and is looking forward to serving the churches of BRKC. Amy is a member of Heart of Life Church where her husband, Matt, is an Associate Pastor. Her and her husband have one daughter, Claire.
