March 10-17 is spring break for MCC Community Colleges. We’ve spent the week in Ferguson, MO reaching out to the campus of the University of Missouri St. Louis. I took 5 MCC students with me and we joined approximately 20 other students from SEMO and MO West Universities. Together, we had over 200 conversations with students and saw at least one student trust Christ. Our experience this week has helped us think like missionaries, share the gospel, and identify interested students who might be instrumental in launching a new campus ministry at UMSL.

NEW BELIEVERS
I recently had the opportunity of sharing the gospel with a student named Maddie at Longview. She’s in our weekly Bible study and indicated an interest in talking more about what it means to follow Jesus. I followed up with her and she prayed to receive Christ. Since then, I’ve connected her with two women who are now meeting with her weekly to disciple her and help her grow up in her new faith.

Similarly, a student named Levi also indicated an interest in talking more about following Christ and baptism. I walked him through the Gospel message and invited him to trust Christ. He too professed faith in Christ and we’ll be baptizing him at LifeConnection on April 2nd.

Finally, one of our student leaders—Daniel—shared Christ with a student named Jessica. She also chose to come with us this week on spring break. As I’ve gotten to know her better and hear her testimony, I think she may have also come to faith in Christ for the first time through Daniel’s influence.

God is doing great things in the lives of students. Thanks so much for your prayers and financial support!
