Returning Missionary Needs Help:   The International Mission Board has laid off several hundred career missionaries in order to reduce costs and balance the budget. Many of these missionaries are in their 50’s and 60’s, and face the prospect of trying to find employment here in the states. Southern Baptist foreign missionaries live uncluttered lives. That works well on the mission field, but means that returning home, many don’t have houses to come home to or cars to drive. One of these returning missionaries is a Missouri native with ties to BR-KC. She is in need of an automobile. Any used car in reasonable running condition would be helpful. FBC, Lee’s Summit has put out the word among their membership, and they would like for all of the churches in the Association to let their members know of the need. If you know of an automobile that could be donated to this missionary, please contact Jennifer at 816-795-1822 or [email protected]. If more than one car is offered, we will contact the people necessary to see that all donations reach a returning missionary in need. Thank you for prayerfully considering and sharing these needs.
