What are you doing on Sunday, April 23rd?
Coming to the semi-annual Association potluck and worship celebration , we hope!
In October, the Administrative Committee recommended some changes to our meeting procedures and bylaws. Their recommendations passed, and one result is that we will gather as an Association twice a year instead of once a year (You can read the full bylaws which include the recent changes here. Another key change involves how the voting process works, including who can vote.).
Hence, our first semi-annual meeting will be on Sunday, April 23rd from 5-8pm. Everyone is invited! The meeting will include a potluck dinner, missions fair, worship through song, reports of how God is working through the Association, and a few business items.
The meeting will be held at Country Meadows Baptist Church, 4901 Lee’s Summit Road, Kansas City, MO 64136. Here’s the schedule:
5:00 – 6:00 p.m.  Dinner. The Association will provide grilled hot dogs and hamburgers. Please bring a side dish to share if your church name begins with A – H and a dessert to share if your church name begins with I – Z.
6:15 – 8:00 p.m.  Business and Worship featuring Praise and Worship Band Summit Road, Country Meadows Praise Band and the Burundian Choir from the African Baptist Church of KC.  We will hear reports and interviews of the great things God is doing among and through BR-KC churches.  Plus we will have a few business items to attend to.
